Charlie Burton is the 5th Generation owner of the i.g. Burton Auto Dealerships located in Milford and Seaford Delaware. Graduate of Roanoke College , Charlie initially did not work in the family business. He pursued career in the automotive finance and insurance business working for Ryan Associates for a number of years. One day Charlie got a call asking him to come back and run the family business. For the last 25 years he has been running the operations taking it from a small family business to the successful organization it is today. What he is proud of them most is his employees. " it's a great feeling knowing you give your employees the opportunities to develop and grow and be successful."

MJ Lofland has been with the i.g. Burton auto group since 1995. He has held the positions of Director of First Impressions, Sales Professional, Salesperson(earning salesperson of the year in 1997 and 1998) getting promoted to sales manager in 1999. From there he has progressed to General Manager in 2003 and in 2007 a member of the Operations Management Team as Director of Sales and Finance and now the Vice President/COO over all i.g. Burton locations. In his spare time he enjoys hunting here on the Delmarva peninsula and spending time with his family and daughter Elise. MJ resides in Milford. To quote MJ "Nobody beats a Burton Deal....Nobody!"

Lisa started her automotive career in 1999 working at a private repair shop in Wilmington, DE. She wore many hats at that job….receptionist, car washer, parts person and customer service representative. This is where her love for the automotive business began. After a few years, she applied for a job at the local dealership and started as the service receptionist before working to be a service advisor. Next stop was Service Manager of the BMW franchise. Her love for all things outdoors drew her to the Delaware beach area. She moved in 2008 and started with i.g. Burton as the BMW service manager, a job she truly loved. After working at i.g. Burton for over a decade, she earned the opportunity to be part of the Executive Management team. When away from the dealership, she enjoys spending time with her husband Brad and daughters Kayla and Talia. Together they love to travel, camp, paddleboard and play with their two dogs.

Bernadette Jasmine joined i.g. Burton Auto Group in July of 2019 as part of the Executive Management Team. She is currently the acting HR Director. Bernadette brings ten years of experience in the automotive industry previously working for General Motors as a District Manager. In another life, Bernadette served as the Town Clerk for Mountain Village and ran a day care center in Rico - both in Colorado. She lives in Lewes with her husband Jeff, her son Jakob and their dog, Bobby. They enjoy family time on the beach, fishing and kayaking.

Kurt Retzlaff is the BMW General Manager for i.g.Burton BMW. A veteran of the automobile industry for 26 years in which 24 of those years have been with i.g.Burton. Kurt first started his career washing and parking cars on the lot. Working for an organization that promoted from within, eventually Kurt moved his way through the ranks holding positions such as a BMW and Mercedes-Benz technician, a detailer, BMW client advisor, Internet Sales, and now the BMW General Manager. A native Delawarean with strong German roots, Kurt enjoys traveling with his wife to his father's homeland of Bavaria and her home country of Italy. Kurt describes his personal approach to customer service as inviting, relaxed, informative, and easy to work with. This focused approach is indicative of the i.g. Burton BMW experience. We pride ourselves on creating an atmosphere in which customers can enjoy themselves, whether it's their first time or their hundredth time through our doors.

Robert Gallagher (Bob) is one of the newest members of the i.g. Burton BMW family. With over 25 years in the customer experience and sales industries, Bob now brings his wealth of knowledge to the auto industry, providing a hands-on approach when working with customers as a BMW Client Advisor and Genius. Bob grew up on Long Island, NY and attended the University of Delaware, where he studied Criminal Justice. Bob also earned a Varsity letter on the University of Delaware Men's Lacrosse team and ranked 12th in the country his senior year. When not busy finding the best i.g. Burton deals for his clients, you can find Bob spending time at the beach with his family, officiating boys high school lacrosse in various divisions across the region, and of course, still running up and down the field himself as a player with Team Harley.

Tom Bashtarz is a newcomer to the car business. Enthusiasm for BMWs has been in his family for years. As a BMW Car Club of America (CCA) member, Tom has enjoyed some driver training classes that help him show off BMW as The Ultimate Driving Machine. Coming from customer service in finance and a decade in emergency services, Tom is no stranger to the customer service mindset. He loves connecting customers with the right vehicle to improve their lives on the road. A self-labeled 'tax refugee' from New Jersey, Tom has embraced Delaware as his home and enjoys sporty driving, singing in church choir, dad jokes, blue claw crabs, home projects, and restoring his classic 7 and 8 Series. Tom feels the only thing better than enjoying his BMWs is helping you find the right one!

I grew up working on the family cars in the driveway with my dad, I would hold the flash light and he did the work when I was little. As I got older I did the work and he held the flashlight. That turned into my first job at a tire store and a summer internship at a Chevrolet dealership. My parents moved to Delaware and I stayed in Pennsylvania and graduated high school working odd jobs at gas stations and body shops. The only thing I have ever been successful at have involved cars in one form or another. I have moved several times between Pennsylvania and Delaware always working on cars. I have been a technician, Oldsmobile and Chevrolet Master tech, Service writer, body shop estimator and assistant manager, used parts sales and have now landed in Warranty administration position here at IG Burton BMW. I've been involved with cars for 35 plus years. I have raised 4 children, 1 with special needs, have 4 grandchildren and enjoy riding my motorcycle in my free time.
