If a car is being sold at i.g. Burton BMW as a Certified Pre-Owned BMW, that means that the vehicle has had a complete inspection of the mechanical and body parts. Before it can be sold as a certified vehicle in Milford, both the interior and exterior of the vehicle are examined to see if any of the parts have damage or need repaired.

The parts that will be examined include, but are not limited to:

  • Roofs on convertibles
  • Tears on seats
  • Weather seals
  • Latches on doors, tailgates and hatchbacks
  • Power seats and window function

If any of the parts are found to be damaged during the inspection, they can be replaced by BMW parts. If parts are found to be unsafe, they can also be replaced with manufacturer's parts.

Other important factors that go into certifying a BMW pre-owned vehicle include a road test, an expansion of the factory warranty and making sure that the vehicle has less than 60,000 miles on the odometer.
